Insurance is looking into my request for an aftermarket exhaust solution.

buddy of mine rear ended another car and they let him take the cost of painted bumpers and fender and apply it to an ARB bumper. here’s hoping!

Crazy...
10 mph collision? Less?
Hope you get your exhaust upgrade out of the ordeal.

an ARB would look pretty rad on the camaro. i support this suggestion.

That’s actually not too bad imo

I was stationary, he was probably going 45 before slamm ing on the brakes, at point of impact probably less than 5 mph, but the fact that the Sebring submarined under the Camaro is what caused so much damage.

They just cut a check to the body shop and the body shop can do whatever they want with it. When my car got rear ended, the insurance paid a certain $$ for an aftermarket rear bumper, but I was able to get them to use an OEM part for like $75 more out of pocket. If the aftermarket exhaust is cheaper than OEM, shouldn’t be an issue as long as the shop is willing to install.

Are you gonna keep it after repairs, or just sell it?

No Zoidberg, you can not have my Camaro.
I’m keeping it for life.

But it’s been booped! It’s beneath your Standards of Excellence

My 1er was also booped.

And where is it now? Hmm? GONE, you had had enough.

It’s gone because it decided to become an old BMW with seepy gaskets

I think CoFL suggested this before, but will you be able to submit a dimini shed value claim?

That’s... less than I would have guessed based on the first photos you posted. Surprised the labor is that low - hopefully the shop is locked into that estimate and does great work!

Don’t know

If it isn’t legislated then good luck. You’d have to sell the car in order to quantify it.

$5700 is entirely reasonable for that... Even at 5MPH. Front fender, bumper, and feathering to hood/door/far fender is an easy $4k, and that’s without fixing/replacing an exhaust or any welding work.
Lol at $590 “other charges” aka deductible recovery

I’m pretty sure you’re entitled to that regardless of the situation. The other party’s insurance would pay out. I forget how I filed for mine, but definitely ask your insurance company or maybe a lawyer on how to get the other guys to pay up.
